15-Story Bellfer Hall Yeshiva University Facade Restoration
Building Overview
Bellfer Hall is a 15 story institutional academic building located on the Yeshiva University campus in Manhattan. The building is a mid-rise structure, consistent with surrounding institutional development within the campus zoning context. The structure is of a reinforced concrete construction. Exterior wall systems consist primarily of brick masonry with architectural detailing, incorporating punched window openings and related façade elements common to academic facilities of its era. As an occupied institutional building with public use, the structure is subject to ongoing maintenance and periodic exterior inspections to ensure façade integrity, public safety, and long-term performance in accordance with NYC regulatory requirements.
Project Scope
EOC provided full-service engineering support for the building’s exterior façade rehabilitation program, with a focus on maintaining long-term durability and asset value. Engineering services included comprehensive façade evaluations, condition documentation, and the preparation of detailed design drawings and technical specifications to support restoration work. EOC served as Engineer of Record, supported the ownership team during contractor procurement, and provided construction administration and field observation services to verify that all work was completed in accordance with approved plans and technical requirements. As part of the engagement, EOC also completed and submitted the required NYC Façade Inspection & Safety Program (FISP) report to the Department of Buildings, ensuring the project remained compliant with applicable regulations while supporting public safety and the continued performance of the building envelope.
