Miss Paradis
Building Overview
Located on Prince Street in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan, Miss Paradis (also known as Le Paradis du Fruit) is a distinctive two-story commercial structure completed in 2016. Unlike the surrounding 19th-century masonry tenements, this property was constructed from the ground up on a site that had long served as a vacant parking lot. The building features a robust structural steel frame and is enclosed by an expansive glass facade that maximizes transparency. A defining element of the architectural envelope is the installation of massive 500-lbf cladding panels
Project Scope
EOC provided structural engineering services focused on the design, analysis, and detailed engineering attacment systems required to support the building’s massive 500-lb exterior cladding panels. Given the significant weight of these architectural elements, our team performed rigorous load calculations to ensure the stability and performance . Key deliverables included the preparation of a comprehensive set of construction drawings and connection details, bridging the gap between the primary building structure and the heavy architectural envelope.
